History.
It was in Florence, in the early 1960’s that Marcello Gobbinni started his mirror plating business. This began what would become a lifelong pursuit, working with glass. Built from energetic and determined foundations the Artelinea glass factory has grown to become a world leader in the manufacture of bathroom furniture.
Artelinea is a family business in which Marcello’s two sons, Massimo and Marco are now highly involved. The company has sought to innovate as it has grown by developing new technologies with the help of acclaimed designers and universities.
This year Artelinea celebrates its 60th anniversary and they are still exhibiting an energetic and innovative approach to their collections.
The designs and products Artelinea create speak for themselves. Striking colours and textures, gorgeous forms all coaxed from the materials with an artisan knowledge built over decades. The passion and dedication to their art is evident throughout out their catalogue.
Product Range.
Artelinea offers over a dozen furniture ranges, each with their own characteristics and personality. Not forgetting their roots, they also offer an impressive array of mirrors.

MONOLITE
The flagship Monolite collection has been given a new range of finishes offering fluted, printed, and engraved surfaces. These textures create a soft, three-dimensional character that reacts with light in interesting and dynamic ways. The fluted glass is a chic option that offers the greatest sense of movement.
VOLUMI
The new Volumi collection has a striking design element with the use of aluminium as a contrast to the glass itself. Volumi has an emphasis on the storage capability of its drawers and offers an impressive range of options to suit many uses.
FUSION
A choice of vanity units with a floor standing design is available in the Fusion collection. They are customisable in terms of appearance and storage.
The range offers wash basins that sit on top of a level surface or basins that are integrated with the countertop itself.
QUADRA
Artelinea describe their new Quadra collection as “A bridge between technological innovation and emotional dimension.”
Quadra offers the greatest range of customisable options across the material, colour, and modular design choices.
MIRRORS
As you might expect given the roots of the company in mirror plating, Artelinea offers an extensive range of desirable mirrors, thirty six of them in fact. There are options for lighting, laser engraving, anti fog capabilities and smart technology. Cleverly, on one model a Samsung smart tv is installed directly behind the mirror without removing any of the silver plating. When the tv is on the screen appears but once it is switched off it disappears leaving the just the mirror itself.
Technology.
Artelinea have many decades of experience and have sought to improve and innovate throughout their history. An in depth understanding of the materials they use has enabled Artelinea to achieve truly excellent results. This in turn has led to innovative new finishes which are unique the company.
DUALITE®
DUALITE® is the latest, revolutionary finish designed by Artelinea and used for a unique and smart collection of bathroom furnishing: the DAMA Collection. It is a laminated safety crystal that unites two rear-coloured sheets of glass in a single element. This is extremely adaptable, allowing for different combinations of colour and texture and is also available in gloss and silk finishes. The lamination of the material not only offers range of design choices, but it is extremely safe as well.
OPALITE®
OPALITE® is ceramic glass, a material produced through the fusion of silicon particles, ceramic powders and crystalline. The resulting material has the exceptional smooth, clear characteristics of glass and is superior to ceramic in terms of scratch and shock resistance.
It is used throughout the furniture ranges Artelinea offers and is also available in sheet form for use in floor and wall tiling as well.

SUSTAINABILTY.
Artelinea have embraced the ethos of creating a manufacturing process with zero environmental impact.
Many of the materials they use are natural and are able to be reused, Opalite, Cristalplant and glass can all be 100% recycled.
Impressively they can produce 80% of their power requirements thanks to the 12,000m2 photovoltaic panels they have installed at their manufacturing plant.
This is part of a wider green strategy that sees all of the water used in the facility reused, along with captured rain water as well.
Artelinea has also built its own factory which produces packaging material using fully recycled cardboard.
When forward thinking and careful management are combined with world leading designs and such a broad range of beautiful and desirable products, it is easy to appreciate why we rate Artelinea so highly.
