Vision designed and created this new extension providing a steam room directly accessible from the indoor swimming pool. The client wanted the room to have a relaxing ambiance with comfortable seating for up to six people.
They were very specific about the seating, which they wanted to be an exact match for one they came across during a visit to Aqua Sana Spa at Center Parcs. We contacted Center Parcs who kindly provided information about their supplier; we were subsequently able to exactly match the seating. We also created a movable foot stool to add to the seating capacity and comfort of the steam room.
The internal finishes are designed to pick out the colours in the adjoining pool room, using 8mm mosaic tiles in blue, white and grey tones for the seating and Coverlam large format tiles for the walls and ceilings.
An additional feature is the brass shower attachment to wash the room down with after use.
Part of the Effegibi steam system includes mood lighting with music, which is linked to the house entertainment system. This is switchable using the house controls (via Control 4) to enable remote activation.
The finished steam room gives an extra dimension to the swimming pool area, offering an additional experience and chance to relax with family and friends.
This smaller project is a fine example of Vision’s ability to seamlessly match to an adjoining larger space ensuring the new room works perfectly in the home. We are proud to have met the client’s design request exactly.
