Home Spa

Home Spa.

Our clients wished to create a space dedicated to their wellbeing that embraced their holistic mindset and allowed them to indulge themselves. Their vision was to create a luxurious home spa, full of modern appointments which would provide a welcome respite from their rugged outdoor lifestyle as sheep farmers. The final design featured an enviable list of innovative features and desirable products. The heart of a much larger project, this luxuriously appointed spa room is a sight to behold.

Entering through bespoke glass doors you are transported from a traditional Devon farmhouse to a sumptuous environment dedicated to self-care and full of modern innovations. The centrepiece of the room is the TOTO FLOTATION TUB, the first of its kind in the Westcountry. Designed to hold the body in the same position as when weightless in space, it also has jets to massage the body and a waterfall to provide a constant flow of warm water over the shoulders.
The control panel for the bath is mounted in a bespoke Corian and walnut column, ideally positioned for a champagne flute. An Artelinea double basin with matching furniture is paired with a Keuco Royal Lumos mirror cabinet. Alongside these is a WASHLET™ RW also made by market leading Japanese firm TOTO.

Adjacent to this open central space is an impressive wetroom and separate Steamroom area which is equipped with an Aquademy HiSpa showerhead, body jets and hand shower. A truly sensual, holistic experience it offers aromatherapy diffusers and chromatherapy lighting. Large format Coverlam porcelain tiles clad the entire area using only vertical joints.
The steam room is powered using an Effigibi Nuvolo smart power 90 steam generator and has individually designed seating. The entire area is enclosed by a bespoke glass screen. It is the perfect place to relax before taking advantage of the massage room next door.

Where a new doorway was created the original cob was left exposed in a frame as an additional detail. The bedroom leads through to the walk-in wardrobe where the transformation takes place. Once through the opaque glass door the traditional farmhouse is completely left behind.
